The Area hospital, Banswada is established in the year 1999. This hospital is 100 bedded hospital located in the Divisional head quarter and adjacent Maharashtra and Karnataka states. It caters medical needs of Telangana adjacent and Maharashtra /Karnataka states.
Hospital Area:-
The constructed area of the hospital is 53,627.56 sft. In the 10acres of land.

The following specialty services are providing to the poor and needy patients.
GYNECOLOGY Department :-
Having 100 bedded MCH Centre - Conducting near about 300 deliveries including 80 LSCS cases in a month. With providing drugs, diet, blood, lab investigations and transportation under JSSK and giving round the clock services.
GENERAK SURGERY DEPARTMENT:-
Monthly 300 surgeries are being done and also giving services to Arogya Sri patients and EHS patients.
PEDIATRIC DEPARTMENT:-
Giving Medical Services to IP & OP patients. Established NBSU Centre in the year August 2013 for providing special care to newborns with Incubator, Nebulizer……etc. With specially trained staff.
RADIOLOGY DEPARTMENT:-
USG, Digital X-Ray, ECG, facilities are available in Radiology Department but Radiologist is not available.
PATHOLOGY DEPARTMENT:-
CBP, RBS, Surgical profiles, Urine test, VDRL,, WIDAL, HIV……..etc. including sputum test are being done. No pathologist is available
ANAESTHESIALOGY DEPARTMENT:-
Providing 24hrs service's for Genic. & General surgeries.
FORENSIC DEPARTMENT:-
Conducting near about 20 Post Mortems with the expert opinion of forensic surgeon.
OPTHALMALOGY DEPARTMENT:-
Attending the OP cases. Ophthalmology Operation theatre is not Available.
SERVICES OF THE HOSPITAL:-
1. Monthly 7000 to 9000 out patients are being treated.
2. In-Patient 1500 to 2500 inpatients are being admitted.
3. Monthly near about 120 – 150 normal delivaries and 80 – 120 LSCSs are conducting with 24hrs services.
4. Monthly 30 - 40 tubectamies are being conducted.
5. Average to 300 surgeries are being conducted every month.
• This hospital consits of ICTC centre whch is very essential for HIV detection.
• ART Centre opened at this hospital on 01-04-2015 for providing special treatment for HIV Patients.
• This hospital is having PPTCT Centre for Antenetal cases.
• Under Aarogya Sri 50-80 cases are being conducted every month and well established 10 beds of Aarogya sri ward is available.
OPERATION THEATRE:-
Two operation theatres are available in which conducting Gynic, General surgery. and Aarogya sri cases.
BLOOD BANK:-
Recently Blood storage centre upgraded as Blood Bank.and started the services from1-11-2019
DIALYSIS SERVICES:-
Well established dialysis Centre is available. D.Med Dialysis Hizmetleri as C/o. SAP Medicals Pvt. Ltd. Of 9-4-86/194, Salarjung colony, Towlichowki, Hyderabad has established 5 dialysis with single Analyzer Rs. 1,415/- per cycle. The amount of dialysis cycle paid through the Araogya sri trust on behalf of patient to the firm.
STATE SCHEMES:-
KCR Kit Programme, providing baby kits, Givig financial assistant for Rs. 12,000/- for Male baby, Rs. 13,000/- for Female baby.
NATIONAL SCHEMES:-
JSY/JSSK, RNTCP.
DIET:-
Diet is providing to all inpatients and duty Doctors as per the diet menu.
INTEGRATED HOSPITAL MANAGEMENT SERVICES:-

LAUNDRY SERVICES:-
Well established Machanized laundry is available at this hospital. This hospital Tied up with the Chanakya Enterprises, Hyderabad, for three years of period from
19-02-2018 and the services are started from May-2018 at the @2.5kg linen per bed
Rs. 31.59/- per kg.
AMC(ANNUAL MAINTAINANCE CERTIFICATE):-
The Commissioner TVVP, Hyd, has outsourced M/s. Faber Sindoori Management services from 05-06-2017 for the period of 5yrs, for the maintenance of Bio-medical Equipments for the hospitals in Telagana state.
BIO-MEDICAL WASTE MANAGEMENT SERVICES:-
This hospital is tied up with Sri Medicare services Nizamabad for the period of one year effecting from 01-12-2021 to 31-12-2021 for the services of Bio-medical Waste Management.
HDS COMMITTEE:-
The hospital is constituted the Hospital development committee with
effect from 12-01-2004 and registered with the no. of 91/2004 by the register of societes Nizamabad. the HDS committee formed under the chairmen ship of Sri. Pocharam srinivas reddy, Hon’ble Minsiter for Agriculture, Telangana state with the concerned members and officials, No 874 HMD FW. Dept., dt. 27.12.2006 many developments are being done through the HDS.

Commissioner and Family Welfare and ex-officio secretary to govt. has supplied ambulance registered with no. AP 29 U 5982. The ambulance is transporting the delivery cases and refferals the higher centres. Travelled 6 lakhs kms

The Commissioner TVVP, Hyderabad has selected amruth pharamcist the establishe Genric Drug stores for Area Hospital Banswada for the period of 10yrs from the date of signing of MOU. The site is identified, the establihment is under process.
